Chemistry lab fire
Before School on June 14th a fire broke out in the Chemistry Department. The sounding of the fire bell caused mirth, puzzlement and indecision initially, but once the fire engines had arrived, and Messrs. Brown and Boetius had taken charge, very little disruption was caused.
Mr Gillard stood courageously by the Applied Maths A Level papers in the Sandison Room throughout, and Mr Robbins kept murmuring 'Spontaneous combustion'. It may well be, although we personally have always thought his cut-price gin in the Tuck Shop a little too good to be true.
