Laying of the foundation stone
The most significant event of the term was undoubtedly the laying of the Foundation Stone, a startling reminder of the fact that the death of the North End buildings, with all their old attachments and associations, is a mere twelve months away. The effect on school life of the move remains shrouded in mystery, but the view that there will be a considerable amount of change appears to be a logical one.
