1987
The Choirboy and the Puppets

A surreal moment in British TV history. In 1987, third-former Andrew Sinclair was chosen as only the second "real person" to ever appear on the hit satirical show Spitting Image. For the election night special, he sang 'Tomorrow belongs to me' surrounded by the infamous politician puppets. The role required a pin-stripe suit, glycerine for tears, and, as Andrew recalls, "two hours of agony" having his hair bleached – leading him to dread what his mother would say.

Andrew would become Head Chorister, 1st XV Captain and Head Boy.
